Founders, attention please! The Female Founders Book appears in the March 2017

The Female Founders Book is an inspiring book for female entrepreneurs and women who are brave enough to take that step towards independence. We say this because only 25% of all start-ups at STARTUPS.CH are established by women.

In publishing the Female Founders Book, founders and the editors of the book, Val Racheeva, the WeFound Community of founders and Maxi Knust, the founder of Fempreneur, provide answers to why there are so few women amongst entrepreneurs. Offering inspiration and female founder role models, they want to show that starting your own business and being successful in doing so is all about having the right mind-set.Today’s limits to online-based software solutions.

Numerous interviews conducted
To discover the story behind these women, the authors conducted 30 interviews with female start-up founders from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. What motivated these women to start their own business? What initial steps did they take? How did they go about finding their co-founder or what is it like to work as a solo founder? What went wrong? What did they learn as a result? This book portrays women who have courageously stepped forward to persistently pursue their life’s dream of founding a start-up and who, with their perseverance and instinct, have made their dream into a success.

About the authors
Val Racheeva and Maxi Knust already had several years of experience under their belts as female entrepreneurs when they discovered their shared passion for Women Empowerment. At the end of 2015, they decided to start working together on the Female Founders Book, which they have now published themselves. We will be publishing an interview with the authors in our blog shortly.

Publication and pre-ordering
Publication of the book is due to take place in March 2017. Supporters and interested readers can reserve the book in advance. Until 31/01/2017, a “Success Mantra” poster will be provided for free with each printed copy of the book. An English version of the book is already in the works and is expected to be available from April 2017.
