Commercial Register Deadlines for the Current Year

At the end of the year, the number of commercial register applications traditionally rises. The cantonal offices work diligently to process all submissions on time. However, due to the high volume of requests and the Christmas and New Year holidays, processing times may be longer.

Each canton sets a specific deadline by which entries are guaranteed to be processed within the current business year. In the Canton of Zurich, for example, this date is December 1, 2025. If all required documents are submitted completely and correctly, the entry is usually registered before the end of the year.

After these cantonal deadlines, applications are still accepted and processed as capacities allow. However, registration before the end of the year can no longer be guaranteed.
